2004 St. Lucia
Tastes just like 1931. Lots of spice and saltiness. Toffee and oak. Not too sweet, great value at £30-35.
Old Fashioned Traditional Dark (OFTD).
aka: Oh F*ck That’s Delicious (OFTD).
Really potent but full on flavour profile. Lots of pot still Jamaican kick, some Guyana juice and Bajan smoothness to finish it off. Hints of orange and coffee along with spices and caramel. Coming out next year this 69% bunch of fun is superb.

A lover of rums, especially British-style from countries such as Jamaica and Barbados.

My first rum was Appleton and that is generally the benchmark I use for comparing rums along with Foursquare. My collection now has (in 2023) over 600 different rums and that number is continually growing.
I am an advocate of the Gargano rum re-categorisation.
As well as rum, I am a big Liverpool fan (and season ticket holder) and love Pet Shop Boys (hence the blog name).
